The mayor, Jose Lopez, has announced that on June 30 the full text of the current land-use planning of Cartagena will be full, including all modifications, rectifications of errors and sentences that municipal technicians have been collecting in the last year, so that it can be opened as soon as possible unperíodo public information and completing the formality whose omission notes the Supreme Court ruling.
Lopez explained that the old Plan 87 has become obsolete, since among other issues does not take into account standards and measures of equity and environmental protection, but develop a new one from scratch would be a burden for the municipal coffers and for all Cartagena, which the responsible thing is to take the good of the management plan, and remedy bad, presenting a current PGOU, modern, protecting the environment and trace the lines of the future development of the municipality.
The mayor has indicated that it will introduce specific modifications deemed necessary once the plan is approved, on it, but urges have the document as soon as possible, in the general interest of all.
Lopez also recalled that, in this process, the local administration might fail, but ultimately responsible for the approval of the General Plan which is now in question was the regional administration, which also expects the necessary speed to go the sooner this situation of legal limbo in which we live.
