The mayor of Cartagena, Jose Lopez, has expressed the position of the municipal government before the Supreme Court decision to annul the Municipal land-use planning Cartagena 2012, annulling the revision of the text adopted by the CARM in 2011 and ratified a year later.
The judgment is based on an error processing in the regional administration.
The mayor has said that politicians are to enforce judgments, while expressing queconocedores that this scenario could occur during this year we have been working on a document that not only includes the rectifications, but the judgments on it.
Jose Lopez has shelled the procedures to follow soon: We will advance in compliance with the judgment, to reach the period of public information, discuss in plenary for approval.
Subsequently, we must hold him to public exposure and final approval of the Plan.
Lopez has made a call to consistency referring to the need to resume the positive parts of the Plan as levels of protection provided and correct the negatives.
For his part, the president of the regional executive, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, referred to formal deficiencies in which the judgment is based, in addition to influencing the coordinated work that will keep City Hall and CARM to undertake these rectifications as quickly as possible.
Both leaders have agreed to launch a message of reassurance to potential investors and the general public, as it works to give, through the adaptation of the Plan, the maximum legal certainty to the city of Cartagena.
