The area of ​​Quality of Life directed by Francisco Calderon addresses the renewal of the strategic noise map of the conurbation of Cartagena.
To do this, the mayor held a meeting with Alejandro Ochoa, representative of the company Environmental Acre, meeting in which they discussed the updating of the strategic noise map of Cartagena, compulsory procedure that has der done with quinquennial character this morning.
So, this way, this year will be proceeding with the collection of data whose parameters will be reflected in the updated document to be presented before June 30, 2017.
Thus, the area of ​​Quality of Life undertake the updating of a text whose background focus on the European Directive 2002/49 / EC on the Assessment and Management of Environmental Noise, transposed to the Spanish legislation through Law 37/2003 Noise and Royal Decrees 1513/2005 and 1367/2007.
The strategic noise map of the conurbation of Cartagena collects different emission sources of noise that are registered in the city in relation altráfico, major roads, rail, air and sea transport and industrial activities.
It bifurcates into various courses of action in order to meet certain objectives: to determine the exposure of the population to different noise levels with unified European standards;
develop action plans necessary to minimize noise levels in urban agglomeration (hot spots) and to prevent degradation (quiet areas) and make available to the public all information to the strategic map and noise levels that are exposed.
