Deputy Mayor and President of Cartagena Port of Cultures, Ana Belén Castejon, announced Tuesday an agreement to promote tourism in our city between the Norwegian colony based in the province of Alicante, initiative for already initiated contacts with Cora Norwegian company Care SL, based in Guardamar del Segura, whose manager, Stig Gunnar Hovdal, accompanied Castejon during the press conference.
The aim is to establish areas of cooperation between them to increase the number of Norwegians who visit us, so they are also ambassadors of our culture, our heritage and our gastronomy, noted Ana Belén Castejon, who impinged on the need to focus Cartagena efforts to introduce the brand in the Nordic tourism market, bringing the promotion also to Norway.
Meanwhile, the manager of Cora Care, who recalled that his first outing in Spain, 15 years ago, went to Cartagena, expressed his full willingness to work hand in hand with Port of Cultures to organize concerts, festivals and any events that promote the city among a group, the Nordic colony, which already reaches 700 Norwegians in Guardamar.
As first performance in this line of work together, it has been organized for this Friday June 24 gig by hot on acting the band of young musicians Norwegian Rykkinn og Gullhaug Skolekorps composed por88 musicians aged between 12 and 18 years, accompanied by the Band musical Sauces and Coral Tomas Luis de Victoria, a free and 0 cost for municipal coffers concert, which will take place from 19.30 hours in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
With this activity, we will visit a good group of Norwegian colony Guardamar, which will come to accompany the young musicians, and for which Port of Cultures has organized a tour around the city.
