The student of the Masters in Industrial Engineering Alberto Marin Guillen will inaugurate the double degree agreement between the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) and Universität Stuttgart, getting in only two postgraduate courses two titles of two years.
Murcia student will spend all next year in the German city where held practices in research institutes of the prestigious academic institution and in large industrial enterprises in their environment.
"'Desarrollará And apply the theoretical knowledge acquired during the first year of the master in the UPCT" explains Fran Vera, deputy director of International Relations at the School of Industrial.
At the end of the course and after delivering a final master project that will also serve for TFM in the UPCT, the student will obtain the title of Master in Mechanical Engineering, Productions and Materials by the University of Stuttgart, while this eminently practical year Germany will validate the second year of graduate courses at the Polytechnic.
Alberto Marin will be the first student to benefit from the double degree agreement between the two universities signed last October and which can also come German students to complete their training in Cartagena.
"I want to leave the flat ground for next fellow," said the young graduate in Industrial Technologies.
In order to study a double degree in Stuttgart B2 English and German B1 level it is required.
"I have been studying German since I started the race, thanks to courses offered by the UPCT" says Alberto, he is confident that the German language "opens many doors, because in Germany are most technology companies and many of the documents we use technical engineers are in German. "
The agreement includes parking secured in the university residence in Stuttgart.
"It costs 250 euros per month and access to a room with very affordable rates.
The cost of university life in Germany is not very high, "added the student.
Cartagena Polytechnic in Stuttgart already has two graduates, Venancio Jimenez and Miguel Martinez, who are doing their doctoral theses there and lecturing.
"I Would not surprise me that he was offered to continue investigating Alberto there," forward Fran Vera.
The University of Stuttgart is one of the nine major institutions of science and engineering in Germany.
"Experience with our alumni showed them the level of our training and we managed this agreement possible for double degree," notes the professor.
