The mayor, Jose Lopez, this morning visited the Occupational Center and Day Care Center PROLAM, making a tour of its facilities and knowing closely the work that is done there and daily activities of the labor center representatives, visit which he was also attended by the Councillor for Social Services, Carmen Martin.
In this center working with people over 16 who suffer some form of mental retardation or cerebral palsy, favoring its development, acquiring knowledge and social integration with projected future work, for performing different activities in workshops ranging from working with ceramic or bronze among others.
Jose Lopez and Carmen Martin have come PROLAM dependencies, knowing several of the students in the workshops and seeing how they work.
For the mayor, it is a place where we meet cartageneros with other different capacities providing excellent things, as stated above, which also can be found many of the things we see regularly in stores that are made in the association.
Recycling different materials such as used coffee capsules, made key rings;
stained wicker baskets to bring color to the sandpipers ons or make necklaces for all seasons.
With molds made reminders of the city showing their hoods Easter or Submarino Peral, and also realizancatálogos showing the main attractions of Cartagena and sold in different parts of the city.
Lopez has recognized the work done from the center indicating it as the best job: wanting people to people, people helping people permanently.
