Coexisting present, Building the Future, has been the title of the day of community service that was held this morning and that has brought together technicians Old Town and Sector Station, both public lasadministraciones as various social organizations, so that and join in the task of providing the resources that we, as commented the mayor of Social Services, Carmen Martin.
It has been the Youth Resource Centre which hosted the celebration of this third technical conference with the entities involved in the process of Intercultural Community Intervention (ICI) promoted by the Obra Social La Caixa in collaboration with the City of Cartagena and Cepaim Foundation .
In the first of these conferences he was featured Marco Marchioni, general counsel of the ICI project;
while the second was devoted to analysis of resources and population of the Old Town and Sector Station, neighborhoods with a rich cultural, ethnic and linguistic and religious diversity.
This time we have tried to prioritize actions that will be implemented in order to maximize available resources and have taken into account the points previously collected in the Community Diagnosis, which was filed on April 6.
The points on which we have worked have been the urban deterioration, larecuperación of spaces for living, culture and leisure;
the need for the involvement and representation of citizenship as well as the need for organization of resources, among others.
It has also submitted a Resource Guide and an active Map of Health aimed at citizens.
The Resource Guide includes the main resources in the areas of health, education, youth, citizen participation, etc;
while the Health Map promote routes through both neighborhoods, including healthy tips.
Councillor stressed that these proposals will help the political representatives in the move towards community unaprogramación with commitment.
The contents of this III Technical Conference have been developed by technicians of the Department of Social Services and Social Mediation, Agency of Local Development and Employment, Casco Antiguo de Cartagena SA Health Center Casco Antiguo, College Board Sacred Heart of Jesus, Sacred Parish heart of Jesus and the Community Team;
representatives attending the Museum of Modern Art in Cartagena, Collective Huertecica, Red Cross, Isidoriana Foundation, among others.
The ICI project, promoted by the Obra Social La Caixa in 39 districts of Spain, is an initiative of preventive intervention that promotes intercultural relations, promotes social cohesion and aims to improve coexistence.
