The Regional Museum of Modern Art in Cartagena closing on Sunday, June 19, the exhibition 'The light echo', organized by the Ministry of Culture and Spokesperson and the group of regional artists 'ArtNostrum'.
This is the last week to watch the 30 selected works of this project that combines painting, sculpture, photography and printmaking.
'ArtNostrum' is made by the sculptors Alfredo Guillamón, Belén Orta and Fernando Saenz Elorrieta;
the painter, sculptor and photographer Luis Marino;
engraver and painter Vidal Maiquez;
the painter and photographer Javier Lorente, and painters Antonio Gómez Ribelles, Alvaro Pena, Christopher Perez Garcia, Marcos Amoros, Perez Casanova, Piedad Martinez, Rosana Sitcha, Kraser and Salvador Torres.
The general director of Cultural Heritage, Maria Comas, encouraged those who still have not visited 'the light echo' to approach the Muram "to see the first exhibition showing the great work done by this group of creators in the region that have a long and consolidated career ".
He also reiterated "the regional government support to this group and other murcianos for whom the doors of our spaces to help give greater visibility to their works artists are always open."
'The light echo' is a collective proposal that aims to show various plastics approaches to the theme of light and the Mediterranean.
To do this, they are exhibited in the Muram thirty works, most of them paintings of different techniques and styles.
four sculptures and an installation made by Orta, Guillamón and Saenz Elorrieta are also exposed;
two photographs of Luis Marino, two other prints of Vidal Maiquez and a ceramic panel signed by Guillamón.
It is framed works many of them in realism, although some of the creators of this heterogeneous group are closer to hyperrealism and others present work even closer to expressionism, surrealism, 'pop art' or abstraction.
On the occasion of this exhibition they have been organized over the past few weeks numerous parallel activities such as meetings with artists, guided tours and workshops for both children and adults.
Some activities that involved nearly 300 people and "have helped make the Muram in a more open society in the region, a meeting point for all lovers of culture space," said Comas.
Visiting hours of the exhibition 'The light echo' in Cartagena Muram are Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 19:00 hours;
Saturday from 11:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 20:00, and on Sundays and holidays from 11:00 to 14:00.
