The Ministry of Finance and Public Administration has extended the temporary use, free of charge, from one place to the Volunteer Association of Charity St. Vincent de Paul of Cartagena for the development of healthcare activities, which this year focus on the project 'Breastfeeding 'to improve the nutrition of infants 0 to 24 months from families with low income.
The Director General of Heritage and Informatics, Miriam Perez, met with the director of the association, Inmaculada Obis, and volunteers of it, to know their activities and transmitted them "the intention of the regional government to maintain cooperation, because we value the work that you develop with the poor. "
During the year 2016 the Association of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul Cartagena has launched the 'Breastfeeding' project and promotion workshops and insertion of women, especially targeting teenagers or mothers with dependents.
This association carries out various actions of solidarity and support for the benefit of the citizens of the municipality, it fulfills the needs of poverty, accompanies women and families at risk or social exclusion, school support, nutritional support and feeding, training workshops and other activities in collaboration with primary care social services.
The assigned premises, owned by the Community, has 145 square meters and is located in the city center on Calle Licenciado Cascales.
The assignment is temporary, for one year, extendable to another, from July 14, 2016.
