The municipal government of Cartagena, in compliance with Law 52/2007 of December 26 referring to the Historical Memory and respecting the most scrupulous legality has authorized infrastructure to be appropriate to the withdrawal of the busts and Admiral Bastarreche General López Pinto.
Removal work of both busts have started this morning and sculptural pieces serántrasladadas municipal warehouses to proceed there in custody.
However, this action has been previously approved by the Municipal Council, to adopt the proposal inaccordance agreement of the working group of experts appointed for the purpose, who in turn studied and reported on the request made by the City Council the Association of Historical Memory of Cartagena, where the change of name of streets and removal of busts and other items intended.
