The councilor of Education, David Martinez and area councilor for Culture and Heritage, Ricardo Segado, have joined this morning at the concentration required for maintaining supply Cycle Technician in Physical Activities and Sport Animation (TAFAD ) at the Institute of Secondary Education Cartagena Mediterranean.
This protest action developed at the gate of IES Mediterranean, has enjoyed the participation of the educational community center, as well as representatives of this area of ​​Comisiones Obreras (CC.OO);
the Union of Education Workers of the Region (STERM), and the Federation of Education Workers General Union of Workers (FETE-UGT).
During the course of it, it has read a manifesto for physical education in public and against cuts in education.
Recently, the intention of the regional government to reduce next year, to a single class met the aforementioned cycle which significantly limit the supply of places, a measure that is inconsistent since studies TAFAD are in high demand in Cartagena, reaching exist even waiting list.
The measure adopted by the Autonomous Community coincides with the implementation of this same training activity in a private school installed in the village.
