The Working Committee of the ordinance regulating the urban public passenger transport in private cars by taxi in the town of Cartagena held yesterday, June 6, a working meeting in the administrative building of San Miguel, with the attended by the Councillor for Public Safety, Francisco Aznar;

the mayor delegate of Finance and Procurement, Isabel García;

Councillor for Tourism, Obdulia Gómez;

Mayor's cabinet;

representatives of other political groups;

municipal officers and members of the collective taxi (Tele Taxi, Radio Taxi and Taxi Tele La Manga).

For months, the technical infrastructure area led by the Mayor of Cartagena, Jose Lopez, work together with industry associations in the design of a new ordinance regulating taxi in the municipality of Cartagena.

The meeting held yesterday a proposal by the mayor and the General Director of Infrastructure, Manuel Nicolas, was to present the draft text to the political groups for the sharing and discussion of contributions.

Thus, Nicholas, accompanied by representatives of the municipal government and municipal officers, exposed the attendees text.

Subsequently, issues of concern relating to zoning, transmissibility, dedicated, service life of vehicles, supervision, licensing or tourist taxi, among other issues were discussed.

During the meeting, it was agreed to within one week to the participants of the Commission for the submission of contributions and written submissions, issues to be studied at a later period of fifteen days.

It is anticipated that by the end of this month and to issue a draft with possible contributions, a new text that will be addressed during the meeting of the Working Committee held in July.

With the new ordinance, the City would facilitate their adaptation to the Law 10/2014 of 27 November, regulating public passenger transport in private cars by taxi, which after approval by the Regional Assembly was published in the Bulletin officer of the Region on December 2, 2014.
