Transparency continues to bring the municipal citizen information (06/06/2016)

Transparency Councilwoman Maria Jose Soler, today presented Monday, June 6, a guide and a survey aimed at promoting public transparency and local participation.

The Department of Transparency Portal and Office continues to design actions to optimize transparency and bring the municipal information to the residents.

So, this morning, the head of the Department, has released the new initiatives planned for this purpose.

The first of these is the publication of a guide addressed to citizens and provide the necessary measures to exercise the right of access to information tools.

In the words of Soler, this document will come to mark some guidelines so that residents are knowledgeable about the information that may be requested, who can do as well as aspects relating to the protection of personal data or the procedure for requesting the information.

PROMOTING TRANSPARENCY

The Department of Portal and Transparency Office, headed by Maria Jose Soler, symbolizes the way of understanding the political management of the municipal government whose purpose is to promote transparency and local participation.

It is recalled that the City Council approved in plenary on 24 September, joining the Network of Local Authorities for Transparency and Citizen Participation of the FEMP.

Also in plenary on 27 November, the adherence to the Code of Good Governance of FEMP and the ratification of the Decalogue of Good Practices of Local Public Communication certifying.

Similarly, the city of Cartagena is a partner owner of the Network of Local Authorities for Transparency and Citizen Participation of the FEMP, with voice and vote.

In this line of work, the Department of Portal and Accountability Office has promoted the training of the various municipal services in the Transparency Act by conducting training courses in order to educate and raise awareness of this legislation, as well to provide adequate training on the limits of the right to information.
