The winners of the drawing contest students have received their awards Ecolimpia today.
In this event the students of 5th and 6th primary participating schools had to capture in his drawings his personal vision of how to keep the environment clean and the cleaning of the city.
A drawing of Quixote and Sancho with a broom and dustpan, the work of José González Alfonso, was the winner of this edition.
Ecolimpia is organized by the Department of Education of the City of Cartagtena and the company FCC Medio Ambiente, SA In this competition involved four schools in Cartagena like Sta. Joaquina de Vedruna Carmelites, Sacred Heart, Virginia Pérez and Asdrúbal.
The Palace Hall has welcomed today, June 3, the awards ceremony in which participated the Councillor for Education, David Martinez;
Alderman of the Culture, Ricardo Segado and Transparency Councilwoman Maria Jose Soler, by the City of Cartagena.
Also, present were the Deputy Director of Murcia and Almeria company FCC Medio Ambinete, Fernando de Mateo Luengo;
Production chief, Manuel Lage, as well as service chief, Marcelino Roca.
The Councillor for Education, David Martinez, stressed that there have been a total of 172 drawings and encouraged to participate in the next edition more schools.
According to the mayor, students learn with contests like this to take care of the environment and the importance of cleaning the city.
All finalists and participating schools received a diploma for their participation in the competition and the winners have been enjoying a mobile phone for third place, a bicycle for the second and unatablet for the winner and his school.
