The beginning of the summer season is already a reality and the City of Cartagena lifeguards present their services from this weekend on the beaches of Zeus and Galúa La Manga, as well as Cala Cortina and La Azohía.
In La Manga, a jetski located in the place of Zeus will cover also Cabo de Palos and Calblanque and a boat located in the Mar Menor support any rescue in the area, also counting on an ambulance and a quad, this Finally Zeus area to cover, the Sirens, Entremares, etc., in addition to any emergency on the beach.
In this deployment the rescue stations in two of the Blue Flag beaches of the municipality such as Cala Cortina and La Azohía are added.
The current head of Civil Protection, Martin Toledo, said that the intention is to strengthen rescue posts from previous seasons, one of the first steps to increase security, implantation of defibrillators in positions of Civil Protection.
Also, Toledo reported that this device will start on Saturday June 4 at hours 11.00 to 19.00 hours and will remain uninterrupted at least until September.
