Once renovated the old buildings of the school El Cuco, located in the neighborhood of San Anton, completes the process initiated last year by the city of Cartagena for the transfer of use of the facilities to a dozen social organizations of the municipality, whose representatives have signed the relevant agreements by which such assignment is effective.
The signing was attended by the mayor of Social Services, Carmen Martin, and Finance, Isabel Garcia, who recalled that the cession of spaces agreed at El Cuco governing board last April.
As for the entities that can make use of this socio-educational center are the Asperger Association, Asteamur, CEPAIM, the Senior Club of San Antón three UTS Social Services and Adult Education.
Except for UTS, which are already operating, the rest will be installed from next week, just as announced Carmen Martin has.
The work that has been carried out to adapt the interior of the building will allow associations will use the units to perform their functions effectively.
