Last Monday, May 23, a group of students from higher Social Integration module studying in the Mediterranean IES attended a meeting of the Coordination of Associations of Cartagena neighborhood of San Anton done throughout the year.
The reason for this visit was to learn about the activities developed by this platform of local participation that integrates almost all entities of the neighborhood and works for social inclusion, integration of cultural diversity and the maintenance of popular traditions in San Anton .
Students of the Mediterranean are developing a descriptive fieldwork in analyzing social intervention projects that the City of Cartagena, through the Department of Social Services, developed in various areas of the city.
They study the social, cultural and urban reality of the neighborhoods in order to identify the needs and strengths of the population, thereby identifying possible avenues of intervention to prevent marginalization and promote participation.
These school materialize their proposals at the end of the course and present their work.
