La Puebla celebrates its ninth edition Potato Day in order to promote the consumption of the new potato Campo de Cartagena.
For this reason, on Sunday May 29, Square Social Local deputation will host a series of events that will to try, including great tasting product favored by the climate of our land.
This gastronomic event was presented this morning by the council of Celebration, Juan Pedro Torralba, President of the Festival Committee La Puebla, Francisco Javier Leon and the secretary thereof, Jose Fernandez.
The IX Potato Day organized by the Festival Committee La Puebla with the City of Cartagena and Lajunta Vecinal of La Puebla La Aparecida, aims to highlight and publicize the new potato Campo de Cartagena for citizens they can see the difference with other potatoes that are available in large areas, so that people here know the product here, as indicated by the secretary of the Party Commission of La Puebla, Jose Fernandez.
Therefore, the acts will begin at ten o'clock with the sale of sacks of potatoes, followed by the opening of a craft market at 10:30 am, or the opening of the exhibition of varieties of potatoes Campo de Cartagena at 11:00.
To reach public children and adults, at 12:00 pm will launch the contest potatoes to the pot, ending the day enjoying this product with a giant tortilla chips or boiled and roasted potatoes at 13:30.
Celebrations Councilman Juan Pedro Torralba, wanted to point out the need to support products of our land inviting all citizens to share with the residents of La Puebla this conference to be the potato as a protagonist.
