The Local Government, meeting in extraordinary session this morning under the chairmanship of the mayor, Jose Lopez, has approved the draft partial amendment of the ordinance Occupation of Public Roads for Hospitality Applications, popularly known as watchmen.
As explained by the Councillor for Citizen Security, Interior and Public Way, Francisco Aznar, the current regulatory text is old and requires a comprehensive reform, which the city intends to address, may be the slow and laborious processing;
for that and for the urgency of the summer, it has decided to undertake a partial reform and involving four articles, which relate primarily to operating hours of the terraces, their signage and use per square meter.
The project has been agreed with both local groups, which must approve next Friday in plenary, as restaurateurs and neighbors.
Thus from the reform terraces be marked on the ground and restaurateurs can only occupy that area economic distribution of tables and chairs they see fit, within one limits, paying the City for this area in square meters not by tables and chairs.
Similarly operating hours in half hour expands, being as follows:
Winter time
It runs from October 1 to May 31.
* Schedule placement of fittings:
From 7:00 pm Monday to Friday and from 8:00 pm Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
* Schedule withdrawal furnishings:
At 1:00 pm Monday through Thursday next day and 1:30 pm Fridays, Sundays and holidays the next day Saturdays.
Summer schedule
Runs from 1 June to 30 September (including holidays Easter, Christmas and Epiphany)
- Celebrations of Holy Week and Easter (From Good Friday to Easter Sunday), as well as Christmas and Reyes (From 24 December to 6 January).
* Schedule placement of fittings:
From 7:00 pm Monday to Friday and from 8:00 pm Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
* Schedule withdrawal furnishings:
At 1:30 pm Monday through Thursday next day and you come 2:00 pm, Sundays and holidays the next day Saturdays.
Area Beaches
The schedule of placement of furniture will be governed by the schedules described above, although their withdrawal in summer (from June 1 to September 30) half an hour may occur later times described above.
