From City of Cartagena, through the Department of Equality, is developing an initiative pioneraque to associations of women in the city it is offered with the aim of bringing them closer culture through routes and guided by different museums, visit archaeological sites and areas of interest not only of the city but of the whole municipality.
This morning presented the project to the twenty presidents of associations of women of Cartagena, which have been accompanied during this first round of Councillor for Equality, David Martinez, as well as the coordinator of the Department, Mª José Mercader.
This route, under the title of Cartagena and its five hills, has led the group for various landmarks in the city center as the Castillo de la Concepción, with ascent to the panoramic lift, from where they could see the amphitheater, the Pavilion autopsies, the Polytechnic University, the Port, the Arsenal and the Roman Theatre as well as spot the five hills and hear their stories.
The next step has led them by the Byzantine Wall, Town Hall, Main Street, Building Serafin Cervantes, the Casino, the Grand Hotel, the monument to Procesionista, outside the Decumano and the Roman Baths, the Roman Forum and finally to the Archaeological Park of the windlass.
Morning has served to announce a first step of this project, which would be called Cultural breakfasts and is scheduled to begin in September.
These visits would be made monthly and have different themes.
