The Department of Social Services of our city hosted yesterday, May 17, a meeting between technicians of the City of La Union, Fuente Alamo, Mazarrón Torre Pacheco, Los Alcázares and Cartagena in order to know the actions carried out passers and homeless people.
The meeting, sponsored by the City of Cartagena, aims to create and coordinate a space of continuous encounter between different institutions to work actions affecting these people, revealing the specific resources that account every consistory (accommodation, food, travel , clothing, etc.), and thus facilitating the information work quickly to respond to fit the needs of each applicant.
The Department of Social Services and Social Mediation City of Cartagena created last October a Service for Transients and Homeless Hogarcon to provide specialist this collective response, which is in serious situation of exclusion and requires accompanying a work in coordination with social organizations and other municipal departments.
On the agenda was agreed to value the resources available in each municipality, establish coordination and identify characteristics of each group, constituting uncalendario meeting which will have its next meeting in September in Los Alcázares following the invitation made by the Councillor delegate for Social Services of the municipality, who was also present.
