The area councilor Quality of Life, Francisco Calderon, met in the morning, May 16, with Pedro Phenol, delegate of the Regional Association Celíacos in Action, to meet the project Murcia Gluten Free which promotes free food gluten in the hospitality industry.
Phenol explained that the regional branch of the National Association Celíacos in Action has launched the plan Gluten Free Murcia to help a group whose enfermedadafecta one of ten Spaniards, although it is only diagnosed in 10% of cases.
To do this, already they have the collaboration of experts in training Imformas Institute.
For his part, Calderon has assured that the municipal government will show their support for whatever actions are made to raise awareness about the problems of celiac patients.
The regional association has developed a practical manual with the idea of ​​forming the group of the hotel and restaurant about celiac disease to offer gluten-free menus in their establishments, thereby facilitating the integration of celiac in their social environment when eating out of home.
