Deputy Mayor, Ana Belén Castejon, and the Councillor for Equality, David Martinez, visited this morning the Center for Assistance to Victims of Domestic Violence (CAVI) of Cartagena, accompanied by the Minister for Equality, Thomas Violante.
On this visit, Deputy Mayor took the opportunity to praise the great effort that the city of Cartagena is doing through its local technicians to meet the needs of this service, which not only caters to women in the municipality of Cartagena, but serving the of the Union.
CAVI is a service that offers individual and group treatment for female victims of abuse, providing the necessary support to enhance their social and psychological skills, and to successfully meet their experiences.
Its focus is done from the legal, social and psychological approach to what has professionals in each sector to provide personalized and effective care.
After this visit to CAVI with the Minister, Castejon has moved you the need for concerted efforts from the various administrations to get a great CAVI able to help in every possible way these women and win the battle against this scourge that is Gender Violence .
Deputy Mayor has said the always necessary financial support from the regional administration to improve facilities, expand staff and ultimately improve services.
