The mayor of Cartagena, Jose Lopez, will appear on Monday, May 16 before the media to present all details of the eighth edition of the competition Regata Silver Carbide, which meets every year to over 70 boats in our city.
The mayor will accompany the Councillor for Sports, Ricardo Segado, and the mayor of La Union, Alonso Gómez;
the Director General of Sports of the Autonomous Community, Alonso Gómez;
Isaac Blas Calventus, the Yacht Club of Portman, President Multiple Sclerosis Association of Cartagena and Shire (EMACC), Maria Angeles Ros;
and technical director of the Regatta, Jose Coello, who will report this event which is scheduled for 27, 28 and 29 May.
This event is jointly and severally, and the funds raised in this year will go to benefit Multiple Sclerosis Association of Cartagena and Shire, a non-profit organization that seeks to provide solutions to the lack of extra-hospital care of many affected .
Last year, the Regatta donated the proceeds to Pablo Ugarte (APU) Association, an association also non-profit organization that fights childhood cancer and was born in 2010 at the initiative of Paul's parents, the child is named the same.
The informational meeting will be at 11.00 hours and will take place in the reception room of the Town Hall.
