A new generation of young readers has enjoyed great Mandarache awards gala and Hache which was held this morning.
In it, about 1,400 kids from different schools have been the lucky ones who have filled the seats of the Auditorium and Convention Center The Batel while remaining expectantly and smiled at the shows, performances and skits that were ready to enliven the event.
In addition to these young people, the protagonists have been Alejandro Palomas, who won the Award Mandarache thanks to his novel A mother;
and Patricia Garcia-Rojo, winner of the Award Hache through Lobo.

Both authors have both highlighted his enthusiasm for this recognition and the system only choice that counts this event, in which readers are those who choose according to their preferences after reading all the books finalists.
Nor they have wanted to miss this event the mayor of Cartagena, Jose Lopez, and Deputy Mayor, Ana Belén Castejon, who were responsible for awarding the two big awards gala, which consist of a prize of 3,000 euros and a reproduction of a sculpture artist Angel Haro that has been made by the workshop of the Special Employment Centre dePROLAM-Astus.

and the rector of the Polytechnic University, Alejandro Diaz.

One of the strengths of the gala was the announcement of the innovations that arise for the next edition.
On the one hand, participants will also readers from the other side, from the field of writing, through the workshop Mandarache book, organized in collaboration with the National Museum of Archaeology (ARQUA).
The sessions of this writing seminar be spent in the museum library and including a group of 15 young people will receive master classes of the six finalists writers.
Mandarache book will be directed and taught by the poet and editor cartagenero Balduqe Jose Alcaraz.
