Today, May 12, on the occasion of the celebration of the Day of Fibromyalgia, the association has raised his voice with the reading of a manifesto at the foot of the Regional Assembly noon, an act that meets the requests from groups that work around these diseases and is done commonly in all cities.
In this act have been present, besides the president of Afibrocar, Emilia Barranco, and members of the same comoToñi Diaz and Ana Murcia among others, the Councillor for Health and Quality Area Life, Francisco Calderon, and the Councillor for Social Services , Carmen Martin, the president of the Assembly, Rosa Peñalver, and the president of the Autonomous Community, Pedro Antonio Sánchez.
With loops of blue and lilac color that symbolized the Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia as protagonists of this day, the sky was covered with balloons of these colors as a way to make more visible the existence of a real problem that suffers 2.4 percent of the population, 87 percent of the cases in women.
In addition to this act, throughout the day and in order to report the operation of Afibrocar and the disease itself, they are making information tables in centers and hospitals to be known, where they sell different items like T-shirts for contributing to development of the association.
