Councilman Decentralization, Juan Pedro Torralba, has demanded that the Regional Government to explain the game corresponding to Cartagena within the fund basic infrastructure for districts and councils of the municipalities of more than 50,000.
Torralba has demanded an urgent response from the regional executive since it is necessary that the City count on that amount would correspond to Cartagena into the bottom of county councils and districts assigned to an amount of 482,200 euros thanks to an amendment to the regional budgets.
The council has explained that has already raised this request to the Regional Assembly through the socialist parliamentary group because, since the adoption of the accounts of 2016, the Ministry of Presidency has not communicated neither the amount nor the date of transfer of that game budget for the settlement of sidewalks, asphalt problems, cleaning streets or parks or gardens or road maintenance.
Responsible for the management of districts and councils cartageneras explained that since 2010 the regional government has not allocated a single euro for this purpose when there was a plan with more than three and a half million euros.
Torralba said that this situation will aggravate the maintenance of infrastructure in our districts and councils especially when municipalities do not have sufficient resources and when the municipal budget freezes to have to face as in the case of Cartagena debt more than 140 million euros until 2022 for the disastrous management of the municipal coffers by the previous government team.
The council has also pointed out that thanks to this in the Assembly has been able to increase this heading of 482,200 euros, four large municipalities such as Murcia, Cartagena, Lorca and Molina de Segura, it will be clearly insufficient to cope with the improvements and maintenance services, equipment and public roads in our districts and councils.
