Cartagena will host the presentation of El Amor Brujo with Estrella Morente and the Symphonic Orchestra of the Catholic University San Antonio of Murcia on Saturday May 14 at 20:30 in the auditorium and conference center in El Batel.
It is a tribute to Manuel de Falla, one of the most important Spanish composers of the twentieth century.
The Granada artist with the orchestra versionará El Amor Brujo, written in the early twentieth century and is considered one of the most innovative works of his time work.
Under the direction of Jose Rafael Pascual Vilaplana, the symphony orchestra of the UCAM, will make a perfect combination of Andalusian flamenco artist and lyricism and beauty of the orchestra.
Estrella Morente has become one of the figures of today's flamenco and the most representative figure of an artistic lineage.
The singer will be in charge of singing this recital in which no shortage of Spanish-Arabic touches and flamenco singing.
The singer Estrella Morente was born in 1980 in Granada, is the daughter of maestro Enrique Morente and dancer Aurora Carbonell;
niece of Antonio Carbonell and José Carbonell, singer and guitarist respectively and, in turn, granddaughter of guitarist Montoyita.
This fact marks a Flemish environment that has grown and matured as a person and as an artist.
