The city of Cartagena show its solidarity face with people living on the streets next Saturday, May 14, in the second edition of the Festival de la Calle.
A playful and convivial day full of activities for the whole family to be held in the park of Los Juncos.
The Palace Hall hosted today, Wednesday, May 11, the presentation of this charity event that has had the presence of the Deputy Mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejon;
Councilman Area Quality of Life, Francisco Calderon;
and the Councillor for Social Services, Maria del Carmen Martin;
on behalf of the Municipal Corporation.
In addition, several representatives have been present for some of the event organizers lasasociaciones as Juan Isidro Ros Caritas;
Juste Nkoe and Mohammed Kebhli ACCEM and Archangel Rojas, La Huertecica.
Deputy Mayor of Cartagena, has revealed that the government team is adapting the social to the real needs of people and although municipal powers are limited policies, according Castejon, within those powers the City of Cartagena works together to respond to the worst face social exclusion, the homeless.
Among those actions being carried out by the Consistory, from the Department of Social Services is the creation, in November 2015 Passers Service and Homeless lasnecesidades addressing the collective daily.
Since its inception, this service, according to Martin, made attentions 1,333, representing an average of ten daily attentions.
Finally, the organizers have made an appeal to citizens to participate next Saturday in the II Festival Street and collaborate in giving visibility to this group as vulnerable as the homeless are.
