The Municipal School Board Cartagena, met yesterday afternoon under the chairmanship of Councillor for Culture, Education and Equality, David Martinez Noguera, approved the proposed school calendar in the city of Cartagena for the 2016-2017 course, which will be forwarded to the Autonomous Region of Murcia for final approval.
It dates of beginning and completion of the course at different educational levels, holidays and the three local festivities majority were again on October 31 proposed;
9 December and 27 February.
The meeting had been called for urgent and extraordinary way in order to clear up the confusion over non-school days and expressed conflicting reports in the press, after the first meeting last Tuesday, and showed a similar result.
Together David Martinez, was at the meeting accompanied by the councilman of Youth, Sports and Archaeological Heritage, Ricardo Segado, who on behalf of the City proposed unsuccessfully to be declared a public holiday on Thursday, September 22, as requested by the Federation Carthaginians and Romans.
This proposal joined with their votes the reporesentantes of FAPA and the union ANPE.
