XXVII edition of Francisco Ortega Memorial Mathematical Olympiad organized by the Institute of Secondary Education El Bohio made today, May 6, its award ceremony.
In total, 71 students have been involved 26 schools including two centers this year from Castilla La Mancha and Valencia two were.
The Councillor for Finance, Isabel García, and the councilor of Culture, David Martinez;
representing the City of Cartagena have attended this event which have been awarded math skills of students in secondary schools, high school or vocational training.
At the ceremony they were also present the general director of Universities of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, Juan Monzó;
the Vice Chancellor of students from the Polytechnic University of Cartagena and Secondary coordinator at the University of Murcia.
The mayor of Finance, IsabelGarcía, thanked the organizers of the Olympiad initiative and reiterated the support of the government team to these actions.
According to Garcia, the Government of Cartagena will always find an ally to promote actions aimed at promoting knowledge, learning and spirit of improvement, especially focusing attention on our young people, responsible for writing the pages of our future history.

AWARDS
The winner received a prize of 500 euros and a tuition scholarship for the first course at one of the schools in the region: the UPCT, the University of Murcia UCAM or UNED.
As second prize has been awarded 300 euros, and third-placed 150 euros.
Moreover, for students of ESO it has been three prizes of 100 euros each, and all winners have also received a book and a diploma.
