After several weeks of the end carrying the talent of young musicians at the Conservatory of Music in Cartagena, the nineteenth edition of between strings and brass comes to an end.
On Friday, May 6, the closing concert will be held in the Auditorium El Batel at 20:00, where the awards to the winners of the contest will take place.

Deputy Mayor, Ana Belén Castejon;
Alderman of the Culture, Heritage, Youth and Sport, Ricardo Segado, and the Councillor for Culture, Education and Equality, David Martinez.
The competition, organized by the Youth Council of the City of Cartagena and the Conservatory of Music in Cartagena, it features the performance of classical music by young performers in the region of Murcia in eight categories: Woodwind, Brass, strings, piano , percussion, singing, guitar and flamenco.
In this edition they have participated conservatories of Murcia, Cartagena, San Javier, Lorca, Jumilla, Cieza and Caravaca, taking the stage to 162 participants who have shown their high level of professionalism.
In the first part of the closing ceremony will enjoy the Chamber Orchestra of Cartagena with one of the winners of the last edition, Pedro Fernandez Millan, virtuoso cellist who has won numerous awards since 2012, who will perform the Concert for Cello and Orchestra in C major, Hob VII of J. Haydn (1732-1809) this concert was thought lost until 1961, when he appeared at the National Museum of Prague between various documents belonging to Castillo Radenín.

As a guest conductor has directed several times the Cartagena Chamber Orchestra, the Symphonic Band of the Federation of Bands of Murcia and Schönebecker Jugen Blasorchester of Essen (Germany).

Currently he is professor of Orchestra at the Conservatory of Music in Cartagena.
As master of ceremonies will be the cartagenero actor and director of the company Ditiritambo Jose Antonio Orta, with over twenty years of experience, has made dramatized routes and dramatizations in cultural, archaeological and historical especially in this space, his hometown, as well as in other locations.
He has also participated as an actor with companies throughout the Spanish landscape and in the last two years has been nominated for the Goya awards.
He has participated in many documentaries and films, having to his credit a score between actor, actor and star of action.
