The president of the Community, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, today ratified the regional government support to promote the new headquarters of the School of Architecture and Civil Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) after the first official meeting with the rector of this institution Alejandro Diaz, who took up his post last April.
During the meeting held at the Palacio de San Esteban, Pedro Antonio Sanchez reiterated the commitment of Community investment in the construction of the new headquarters, as already stated during the ceremony of inauguration of the new rector.
The regional chief executive said the Polytechnic University of Cartagena will continue with the collaboration of the regional government and referred to the Multi-Year Plan Financing Public Universities 2016-2020, signed with the Polytechnic University of Cartagena and Murcia, and which it is endowed with 910 million euros, which will allow financial stability.
Besides the aspects related to infrastructure investment and financing, the president of the Community and the rector of the UPCT they addressed other issues such as the situation in the labor staff of the university, as well as projects related to this new stage.
