In the afternoon yesterday, May 4, holding an extraordinary session of the neighborhood Municipal Isla Plana-La Azohía at the Social Local Municipal, in order to perform the inauguration of a new member took place and the election of a new president, following the resignation for work of Francisco Mula, the Popular Party, as a member and chairman of the board.
First inauguration of Evaristo Torres on behalf of the same party was held, vowing his post and passing the constitution of the old table to choose the Presdiente.
By an absolute majority of five votes, Maria Dolores Diaz, Citizens, was elected president of the neighborhood;
against Luis Lozano, the Popular Party, which won four votes.
The event was attended by Juan Pedro Torralba Villada, councilor for the Transparency and Good Governance, Participation, Decentralization and Celebrations, and Francisco Calderon Sanchez, councilor for the Quality of Life, Health, Consumer Affairs and Environment.
They were also the spokesman for Citizens in Cartagena, Manuel Padin and popular local group members Francisco José Espejo, Diego Ortega and Nicholas Angel Bernal.
After the vote, the composition of the neighborhood Island flat- La Azohía has been as follows:
