The Department of Social Services City of Cartagena, in collaboration with more of Sainete group and the Club of the Aljorra, organized various activities at the Children's School of Sorrows and the CEIP Miguel de Cervantes throughout the month of April, celebrate on Friday 29 the European Day of Intergenerational Solidarity.
Specifically, on April 8 by a storyteller Grandmas Sainete theater group in Los Dolores Ecole Child it was performed.
The children could enjoy stories of folk tales: The Three Little Pigs, The Snooty puss and The pillito of Abellaneda.
In total 40 children aged between 1 and 3 participated years.
On April 21 the most famous scenes of Don Quixote is represented by children CEIP Miguel de Cervantes of La Aljorra, in collaboration with the theater group Senior Club Aljorra La Bella.
On April 22 the middle school participated in the market with a stand dedicated to traditional objects typical of other times.
And finally, on Friday April 29, the largest in the Club La Aljorra showed them the smallest town's past through their customs, cuisine and folklore.
The commemoration of this Day and all activities organized around it, are aimed to promote active aging and raise awareness on the importance of solidarity between generations.
