A new edition of the School Theatre Festival arrives in Cartagena.
Nearly 400 students from 11 city centers perform musicals, classic plays and playwrights for more than 5,000 students and teachers who enjoy the work of a whole year with the theater as a protagonist.
The Hall of the Cultural Center Ramón Alonso Luzzy will be in charge of hosting the works of school DEL4 to May 30, counting this year as a novelty with the closure in Circus Apollo Theater in El Algar.
The XXVIII School Theatre Festival, organized by the Department of Education of the City of Cartagena, was presented this morning by the councilman of it, David Martinez, coordinator Maria Luisa Saura, who stressed the novelty of the closure in the Apollo theater as a way for children and young people know this gem is in El Algar.
In total there will be 17 groups from 11 centers nursery and primary schools, 4 secondary schools, a center for special education and an educational center that will rise to the tables to these students who show the work of the entire course, guided by teachers and professional instructors who have taught them to live the Theatre.
The poster exhibition has been designed by illustrator Claudia Seville Molero, who has shown his work in acrylic illusion and magic of theater giving a very cartagenero touch, showing a EUCI on a breakwater showing the sea.
Participating students have built their own sets and costumes, being a coordinated effort that makes the theater an educational resource for training school.
The Councillor for Education, David Martinez, wanted to highlight the importance of theater in school for the values ​​that can be worked through this discipline, such as control of emotions, the work of texts or personal autonomy of students, while areas such as Language and Literature or History among others are working.
Musicals like today I can not get up, Kingdom of Ice or The Wizard of Oz and work of awareness SOS Earth will be some of the representations that take place in this sample, putting an end to the representations with the performance of CEIP new School of Fuente Alamo as a guest center, which will play laobra English Boogie Dys.
A groovy Dark Musical-comedy, an act which may only attend school in the participating centers.
REQUESTS FOR ASSISTANCE
Requests for assistance from schools to the various works will be carried exclusively in the correoprogramaseducativos@ayto-cartagena.es.
Each school may request a maximum of two classrooms assistance work.
At the time of the request, the centers provide authorization for collection and dissemination of images.
Attendance at performances is free until full capacity.
