The company Cartagena Port of Cultures has signed an agreement with the Federation of Associations of Journalists of Spain (FAPE) to the 22,000 accredited professionals can enjoy free access to museums, interpretation centers and sites of Cartagena.
Deputy Mayor and president of Port of Cultures, Ana Belén Castejon, said that professionals in the media are strategic for our town and dissemination of our history public, our tourism potential and our heritage legacy through his journalistic activity that reaches across the country through hundreds of channels and media on paper, audiovisual and online.
Castejon recalled that recently more than 150 journalists have enjoyed Cartagena during the 75th Assembly of the FAPE held in the CIM, communication professionals who have known about our city and have spread nationwide the name of Cartagena through different press releases and news EFE and Europa press and headlines that have been published in more than 100 heads of media comoABC, La Vanguardia, El Confidencial, La Opinion and La Verdad, in addition to audiovisual media as Telecinco or 7 TV Region of Murcia.
Besides knowing the Theatre, the Forum or the Punic Wall, during the weekend from 8 to April 10 the presence of these journalists and the name of Cartagena has not gone unnoticed in social networks since the event of FAPE has reached more than 250,000 Facebook users in addition to the wide dissemination of #FAPECartagenaen twitter hashtag with more than a thousand appointments and 3 million impressions.
More than 150 journalists and fifty companions have enjoyed three days in Cartagena with an economic impact of more than 40,000 euros for the city with more than 300 overnight stays in hotels and unimportante financial outlay in bars, restaurants and shops in the city .
