The second edition of Refresher Course in Police Regulations on Animal Abuse Cases brought the SPAT yesterday, April 18, many members of the local police in Cartagena to update their knowledge on the subject.
This second edition is the result of great social interest and awareness among citizens presenting cases of animal abuse and neglect in the establishment of local police officers.
As in the previous edition, the course has been directed to the local police in Cartagena in order to update the knowledge on the state, regional and local regulations on the matter, and the applicable criminal law.
Training has been composed of two modules: the first on Legislation and the second Competency Protection of animals and Analysis of actual crimes, taught by Raquel López Teruel, activist and specialist in the field jurist with a long career at the national level on this issue.
The number of applications submitted for the completion of this course is much higher than places offered demonstrating, once again, the interest in training in such matters.
