Citizens spokesman in Cartagena, Manuel Padin, met today with the president of the Federation of Carnival Cartagena, Carmen Sanchez.
This Federation is immersed in the development of the necessary procedures to declare this carnival of National Tourist Interest, a recognition that certainly deserves, given the importance that the festival has achieved thanks to the work done by both the Federation and by the comparsas .

The spokesman for Citizens Cartagena, Manuel Padin, announced that his group will take this issue to the next municipal plenary has since registered a motion to the City Council agreed to express its full support for the Carnival of Cartagena is declared National Tourist Interest.

Carnival festivities in Cartagena have deep popular roots.
