Students of the School of Agricultural Engineering (ETSIA) will create a mini botanical garden with native plants at the main entrance of the Mediterranean space shopping center in Cartagena.
This is an initiative that will house the municipal habitats and allow citizens to know species such as rock roses, thyme, knapweed and the garbancillo of tailings tallante and chamomile, among many others.
After the creation of the garden, students will design an informative, educational and interactive support with which visitors can learn through a mobile application, existing species in that garden.
On the other hand, students in schools of Architecture and Building and Agronomic UPCT a vertical garden designed for the mall.
This space will be made within the limits of environmental and aesthetic criteria.
The most innovative design will be distinguished through the new "Mediterranean Area" award for the best design of vertical garden that will feature several cash prizes.
The initiative is part of the collaboration agreement signed today by the Vice Chancellor for Internationalisation and Development Cooperation UPCT, Jose Manuel Ferrandez and the manager of the Mediterranean Space Mall, Joan Mas.
