The Cartagena Muram inaugurates the first exhibition of the group of creators of "ArtNostrum" Region (14/04/2016)

The Ministry of Culture and Spokesperson and 'ArtNostrum' organized at the Regional Museum of Modern Art in Cartagena (Muram) the first exhibition of this group consists of fifteen artists from the region of Murcia.

'The light echo' is the title of this comprised 30 works in the paint combined displays, sculpture, photography and printmaking.

The Minister of Culture and the regional government spokesman, Noelia Arroyo, presented the exhibition, which opens tomorrow, with artists 'ArtNostrum'.

The group is formed by the sculptors Alfredo Guillamón, Belén Orta and Fernando Saenz Elorrieta;

the painter, sculptor and photographer Luis Marino;

engraver and painter Vidal Maiquez;

the painter and photographer Javier Lorente;

and painters Antonio Gómez Ribelles, Alvaro Pena, Christopher Perez Garcia, Marcos Amoros, Perez Casanova, Piedad Martinez, Rosana Sitcha, Kraser and Salvador Torres.

The Minister of Culture, who has accompanied 'ArtNostrum' in its official launch late last year, reiterated "the support of the Ministry this collective of artists working in the region, many with a long and consolidated career, and was born with the aim of joining forces for the art made in the region is best known outside Murcia and Spain ".

"This is the first exhibition dedicated the Muram to a group of contemporary artists as 'ArtNostrum' and, through it, the support from Culture, is offered to our artists is found, whom we open the doors of museums and spaces to contribute to the dissemination of his work with exhibitions like 'the light echo', which will be supplemented by a large number of workshops, guided tours and other activities open to different audiences, "said Arroyo.

'The light echo' is a singular collective proposal that aims to show different approaches to plastic and motivating a recurring theme as is the light and the Mediterranean.

To do so, they will be exhibited in the Muram thirty works, the majority of them paintings of different techniques and styles.

four sculptures and an installation made by Orta, Guillamón and Saenz Elorrieta are also exposed;

two photographs of Luis Marino, two other prints of Vidal Maiquez and a ceramic panel signed by Guillamón.

It is framed works many of them in realism, although some of the creators of this heterogeneous group are closer to hyperrealism and others present work even closer to expressionism, surrealism, pop art or abstraction.

The exhibition will remain open until June 19 and from next week workshops for children and adults who taught artists and with "the Muram this season will become a more open and participatory space, a meeting will be held for different audiences enjoy contemporary art, "said brook.

The first, on 23 and 30 April, will be in charge of Guillamón ( 'Creation in art', from 14 years) and Belén Orta ( 'Modelling with clay', for children of all ages).

Marcos Amoros will give the 'Color Theory' workshop for all ages (Saturday, 7);

Saenz Elorrieta and give another kind of 'modeling with clay' intended for children (Saturday 14).

The 'Children Printmaking Workshop' will be given by Vidal Maiquez (20 and 27 May) and the 'macro Photography', Luis Marino (Saturday 28, from 12 to 15 years).

The last two workshops, and in June, will be the painting of Javier Lorente (Saturday 4th, aimed at people over 14 years) and a master class for adults portrait by Rosana Sitcha (Saturday 11).

Other activities that complement this parallel programming are meetings and interventions by Alvaro Peña (June 17, 19:00) and Antonio Gomez and Salvador Torres (June 18, 19:00).

Finally, every Saturday morning, the artists will guided tours to the exhibition, which will be open in the Muram Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 19:00 hours;

Saturday from 11:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 20:00, and on Sundays and holidays from 11:00 to 14:00.
