Architecture, Art, Culture and Society will be the protagonists of International Congress on Modernism in the Mediterranean Basin (CINAM), to be held in Cartagena from 17 to 19 November 2016.
The main objective of CIMAM 2016 is to promote the study, knowledge sharing and appreciation of modernism, renewing art movement that developed between the late nineteenth and early twentieth century and posed new expressive forms inspired mainly in nature and in which, in the field of architecture, ornamental and decorative forms come to define the new way of conceiving buildings.
This event, to be held at the Faculty of Business of the UPCT is framed within the Year of Modernism and has been organized by the City of Cartagena, the Polytechnic University of Cartagena,, the Ministry of Culture and Spokesperson of the Autonomous Community of Murcia and Beltrí 2012 Commission.
The program CIMAM 2016 includes lectures by leading specialists worldwide in modernism, the presentation of papers and posters for 17 and 18 November 2016 and a day of technical visits to buildings on the Modernist route Cartagena.

The congress will address issues such as the comprehensive study of modernist architecture, the importance of the trades in the artistic creation, cultural tourism or research on modernism, among many others.
INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATION CIMAM
The organizers invite all interested in the proposed modernism in the Mediterranean arc to submit their contributions to CIMAM 2016, both in the form of presentations and poster, which will be presented during the Congress debate.
To do this, fill in the form available at the conference website, including a summary of the communication or poster in Castilian a maximum of 300 words and title and thematic block proposed together with the data of the author along with a brief summary of it until ending June 1 deadline.
Once admitted the project, full communication should be sent before 15 July and accepted will be published on 12 August.

RATES AND SURVEYS
The congress offers different quotas at reduced rates.
For the general public the cost is 120 euros;
for participants with or poster 90 euros and 50 euros for members of the Beltrí Commission staff and staff UPCT CARM, for what can register until July 15.
For students of Campus Mare Nostrum a reduced fee of 30 euros is offered.
attendance will be recognized with a certificate and an official certificate of oral communication in your case.
In addition, for students of the UPCT, will be recognized with 1 ECTS credit.
