The mayor, Jose Lopez, said this morning that the municipal government has a clear desire to be scrupulous compliance with the Law of Historical Memory and avoid unwanted situations.
Lopez recalled, as it did in a previous full Councilman Francisco Calderon answering an initiative of the opposition, legal services municipal detected a malfunction in the public exhibition held a few months ago on the streets, monuments and symbols affected by this law, in accordance with the opinion of the expert commission.
According to the municipal legal services, it should have been included in the list published the reasons for each of the names and symbols affected, so that interested parties could argue about it.
Lopez said that in a few months, if not half a judicial resolution that suspended, the deficiencies are rectified and measures agreed in plenary will be held.
It has also stated that everything in this matter haráconforme the Plenum and the streets needed rename, be given the name the official chroniclers proposed, as was established in the full month of February.
