A party of citizen participation and integration flooded Cartagena on Saturday April 9 within the project Intercultural Community (ICI) and Sector Old Town Station, which focuses on social cohesion between neighborhoods.
The headquarters of this day was Dr. Vicente García Marcos (Square Old Market) Square, although programming coexists in the neighborhood included a parade that toured other areas as Captains Ripoll, San Diego, Calle Caridad, Serreta or Angel Bruna .
Councillor for Social Services City of Cartagena, Carmen Martin, along with the coordinator of the Department, Damián Pérez not want to miss this event in which many children and adults alike enjoyed face painting, games banners to promote learning or eating various homemade delicacies offered attendees themselves.
Throughout the afternoon there were people around the square and a festive atmosphere created by the activities that had been organized: a giant puzzle, henna tattoos, tea tasting, arabic writing, graffiti, oil and gymkanas, all enlivened by music a DJ.
Different cultural musical played an important role thanks to a salsa dance workshop, an exhibition of flamenco and rap workshop with open mic.
Moreover, throughout the act was used to deliver the diplomas to all Coloquiadores, ie, those volunteers who have worked for ICI making personal interviews to obtain valuations of citizens in terms of coexistence.
Also the Regional Museum of Modern Art (MURAM) made his contribution with a children's art workshop, under the name Line and Color, approached the small world of drawing.
