Torres Park showed this crowded morning in the representation of the tragedy Oedipus Rex of Sophocles, where students from secondary schools in the region, as well as different parts of Spain, have come to which was the first play of the XXI edition of the European Youth Festival of Greco-Roman Theatre.
Through four performances, two tragedies and two comedies, the festival will bring together more than 2,600 students in two days which will enjoy the works of classical theater of Sophocles, Aristophanes and Plautus.
The festival, organized by the IES Jiménez de la Espada, the Institute Segóbriga Greco-Roman Theatre and the Center for the Study of Representation and Ancient Theatre CRETE, has the support of the City of Cartagena.
This afternoon continue performances: at 17:00 will be the comedy of Plautus Miles Gloriosus, giving way to the day on Thursday April 7 with Sophocles' tragedy Antigone at 12:00 pm and Aristophanes comedy The Tesmoforias at 17:00.
