This week will be published in the BORM calls for aid for rehabilitation and reconstruction

The Minister of Public Works and Infrastructures, Francisco Barnabas, said today in Cartagena Palacio Aguirre that the Area Regeneration and Urban Renewal (ARRU) of the city will have more than 3.655 million euros this year.

Bernabe said the ARRU signed him in December 2014 the three governments (central, regional and local), under the current Housing Plan and envisages a total investment of 7,114,580 euros divided in the years 2015 and 2016, administrations which provide the 52.76 percent, 3,761,535 euros, and the remaining 47.13 percent (3,353,044 euros) individuals.

It is an economic tool collaboration with homeowners in neighborhoods Pinwheel and Monte Sacro's historic city center to rehabilitate the properties that are in an advanced state of deterioration, or rebuilding them.

This action "has a direct impact on the economy of the city, especially in rehabilitation activity with direct impact on the construction sector," the Minister for Public Works.

This year the three governments will invest more than 1.9 million.

Of these, 1.2 for the Ministry of Public Works, 316,000 euros to 319,000 euros regional government and the City of Cartagena;

while 1.7 million is provided by the homeowners.

The regional official said that over the next few days his department made public paths calls for aid in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia (BORM), which can choose all citizens with housing in the city center of Cartagena included in the space delimited by the ARRU.

On the one hand, there are aids to rehabilitation, endowed with 1,219,000 euros and on the other hand, for the reconstruction, which will have 203,000 euros.

The counselor explained that supported to a maximum of 14,850 euros per household for the development work to improve the overall condition of the property (structure, roofs, walls, foundations, roofs and common elements), energy efficiency and improving the accessibility to the building and housing.

While the reconstruction, to be held in those buildings whose state of deterioration require to be demolished and rebuilt, a maximum of 30,000 euros per household will go.

These actions will be complemented by the redevelopment of public spaces, to which a global game of 491,000 euros to improve the urban environment, such as furniture, landscaping and paving will go.
