For the first time in its history, the port city will host a General Assembly of the Federation of Press Associations of Spain (FAPE).
The last one was held in the region, in 2000, it took place in the city of Murcia.
The expected influx over 150 journalists, including the directors of Press Associations of Journalists and schools across the country, linked to FAPE, which brings together more than 22,000 members.
The meeting is preceded by a professional day on Friday, April 8, to discuss journalistic ethics: "Ethics of the journalist in the digital age '.
The headquarters of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) in the Old Barracks Seamanship Instruction, is the place chosen for this meeting and the meeting on Saturday.
Acts of the 75th General Assembly of FAPE coincide with the 110th anniversary of the Press Association of Murcia and the centenary of the death of its president and founder, Jose Martinez Tornel.
