You can cut back on anything but health and education, were the words of the mayor of Cartagena, Jose Lopez, during the presentation this morning of a conference to be held on 23 and 24 April in our city to fight for public health.
In the briefing they have also appeared the mayor of La Union, Pedro Lopez, and the second deputy mayor of Torre Pacheco, Juan Carlos Martinez;
President of the Platform Save the Rosell, Leandro Sanchez;
and the primary care physician, José Eduardo Caballero;
and he has been among the attendees Councilman Area Quality of Life, Francisco Calderon;
all with the common goal of vindicating the general interest in health.
In the words of Jose Lopez, in times of crisis they have carried out cuts by the Ministry in the weakest areas, meaning both the health area of ​​Cartagena II has been affected.
That is why we have gathered the municipalities that comprise: Fuente Alamo, La Union, Torre Pacheco and Cartagena.
We need more staff, should prevail health of the people above all and we are losing rights that we in the past have been some of the statements released by these representatives who have gathered in favor of the same struggle.
Conferences, roundtables, presentations by various experts, debates and workshops will be the activities that guide these two days when it will be to share experiences and strategies at national level so that there is coordination and improvement in terms of health.
This first edition of the National Days of Activism in Defense of Public Health have been organized by the Platform in Defence of the Health Salvemos The Rosell, by the Association of Users of Health of the Region of Murcia and the Association in Defense Public Health of the Region of Murcia.
ASSISTANCE
The first day, Saturday April 23, activities will take place in the Old Market of the Union, while the conclusions and closing on Sunday 24 will be based in Cartagena, in the Cultural Center Ramón Alonso Luzzy.
Registration for the conference is free and must complete a form and indicate the worktable in which they wish to participate.
They will be a space dedicated to groups, movements, platforms and citizens who care and strive for public health.
OTHER ISSUES
At the request of journalists, the mayor of Cartagena has ratified the need for more health planning and not neglect the population, referring to the importance of both services of St. Lucia as Rosell.
