The general director of Educational Centers, Maria Dolores Valcárcel, today presented the XII Days of the Faculty of Classical Culture this edition in Cartagena, accompanied by the councilman Obdulia Gomez and representatives of the Center for Language and Communication of the Region of Murcia and held the Association of Teachers of Latin and Greek in the Region of Murcia.
During the presentation, the Director General explained that these days "are constituted as a benchmark for analyzing the references of classical culture as essential elements to understand Western culture and knowledge of new methodological trends in didactics culture and classical languages. "
In addition, Valcarcel said that "the conference will serve to exchange experiences and best practices among teachers and promote educational innovation."
Among the objectives of the conference include analyzing, promoting knowledge and the use and dissemination of ICT in teaching practice.
The program will be held in the auditorium of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) from 8 to 10 April, and its contents include training for scientific and / or educational update, communications and exchanges of experience, as well as exhibitions, workshops or debates on the subject.
The conference is aimed at both teachers and students of Classical Languages ​​and Social Sciences as the areas of Philosophy, Spanish Language and Modern Languages.
