The Information Committee of Finance and Home Affairs, which met this morning under the chairmanship of the council area, Francisco Aznar has ruled favorably unanimously lamodificación the General Budget 2016 to address the outstanding payment to municipal employees in the latter part of the wages extraordinary Christmas 2012, which was suspended by the Government of the Nation, within the economic adjustment measures.

The opinion has benefited from the favorable vote of the different local groups, both government and opposition, and will involve enabling a game of almost 1.7 million euros to meet this expense, and to be approved in the ordinary council meeting, to be held next Thursday.

ECONOMIC CHANGE IN THE ADMINISTRATIVE COUNCIL

The Information Commission has also unanimously ruled favorably to their request cessation of José Vicente Lopez as a member of the Administrative Economic Council and the appointment in place of the lawyer Teresa Oliva Balsalobre.

SURPLUS IN 2015

Finally, the municipal treasurer reported the progress of the liquidation of the City of Cartagena 2015 resulting in a positive balance between income and expenditure budget of 19,389,348 euros;

and a positive cash remaining after accounting for collection of outstanding debts along with the outstanding obligations and liquid funds of 12,181,195 euros.

Councillor of Finance, Isabel Garcia, has been cautiously optimistic about these results, thanks to the efforts being made by the municipal government, and noted that the surplus will go mostly to advance debt repayment, what City Council is bound by the Adjustment Plan.
